Hello world!

Wow, our very first post on our NEW blog.  Super exciting!  We just to get things started I will tell you who we are…

We are Jasmin Roth and Karla Mateer, photographers to fabulous families!  We specialize in modern custom photography for all of the stages of your family’s life.  Starting at newborn photography, then child photography, senior portraits and families.  We even cover special events such as engagement portraits, parties, corporate event photography, and commercial photography.  Jasmin works as the primary photographer while Karla spends most days editing and creating.  We are available for travel.  We love designing custom photo sessions to display what is truly special about your family!  What is our style?  We’re glad you asked (okay so you didn’t, whatever!)…We love beautiful portraits that capture the uniqueness of each person.  We also like to nudge families just a little to get out to the box of overly posed shots and try something new & spectacular.  Other words that describe our style…contemporary, colorful, exciting, custom, editorial, real, fun, and most importantly YOU!

White Acorn Photography has been photographing families in sunny Sarasota, FL since 2008 but things are changing.  Jasmin’s husband accepted a position working in the family business back in a small town just outside of Lincoln, NE.  So we are packing up and moving back to our roots…to Nebraska.  We are excited (and a little scared) for the changes of moving from big city beachy Florida to a small town in Nebraska.  BRRR, I am cold just thinking about it!  White Acorn Photography will be moving too.  We will serve Lincoln and surrounding areas.  We look forward to serving as a Lincoln, NE photographer to beautiful families just like yours!
